My family and I are planning to travel to Uruguay in May 2008 and stay there perhaps 6-12 months. A couple of weeks ago we purchased tickets for a two-week vacation in Italy. We're going to try an overseas vacation with our (then) 4 and 7 year old children. We visited some friends in London when our daughter was just over a year old, but she was almost always stroller-bound. One of the nicest surprises, in rearing our children in Argentina, has been the ease in which my wife and I have been able to rear them in a bilingual environment.
